Welcome to the Hotel Transylvania, Dracula’s lavish five-stake resort, where monsters and their families can live it up, free to be the monsters they are without humans to bother them. On one special weekend, Dracula has invited some of the world’s most famous monsters – Frankenstein and his wife, the Mummy, the Invisible Man, a family of werewolves, and more – to celebrate his daughter Mavis’ 118th birthday. For Drac, catering to all of these legendary monsters is no problem – but his world could come crashing down when a human stumbles on the hotel for the first time and takes a shine to Mavis.

Before I begin, this animation surprised me really nicely. I did not know who the stars are or, most importantly, who is the director.
The story grabs your attention in the moment you hear the cute song of Dracula (Adam Sandler) and the baby vampire’s laugh. The characters are made with perfection to the smallest detail.
Most of the animated movies have this plot: a lonely parent who is trying to protect his little one from the big cruel world full of humans but not really. However, here we can clearly enjoy the parenting and its purpose to teach. In my opinion, the technique of presenting the idea to the audience that parents must let their children “have their own paradises”, is unbelievably touching.
One of my favorite scenes is where Dracula shows to the monsters what people have become in 21st century. All of the scary creatures watching what we should really be afraid of is ourselves.
I cannot forget to mention the director. I was so amazed to find out that the producer of Powepuff girls and Dexter’s laboratory is the actual director of Hotel Transylvania. If you have watched those TV series which I mentioned, watch the movie now. I am sure you will love it or at least, like it.
The story itself is unique and specific. The writers have done a great job of creating it.
In the climax of the film, you can clearly see where Dracula is making mistakes towards Mavis (Selena Gomez).
This safe place for bad stories creatures is different and nobody till now, has shown the lesson : don’t judge before you get to know the person, in such a unique way.
In the conclusion, of course, happy end. Father realizes what he has done to his only child. It’s never too late to show that there are still good friends in your lives. Especially Frankenstein (Kevin James).
Lastly, the review in IMDB is very good 7.1/10 from almost 20000 people. I give it 10/10! Nice work creators!!!!
I would definitely recommend it and watch it again. It’s a funny, relaxing and teaching film. It touched my heart and made my night a good one.
Thank you for reading!!!!
P.S. My favourite movies – animations. Yes, a bit nerdy I know.
